Mission Opportunities - Our goal for 2008 is to have six mission teams visit us in Kenya and work on our projects. Read more to come and join us. Contact Anne for more information.
Help us add distance to our projects! Come to Kenya and spend time in the field with us. Work with the farmers as they make progress toward a sustainable level of business. We have 4 new farmer groups starting in August of 2007.
Someone
recently questioned us on the value of spending "all that money" on
international travel to work with us. "Wouldn't it be better to send the
money to you instead?" Please don't misinterpret - money helps, and is
used wisely within our organization. However, your presence in the mission
field helps us to build relationships that are a powerful witness to the love of
Christ - we simply can't put a dollar amount on that.
You may feel intimidated by the work. We can accommodate all levels of activity from the very physical and demanding work in the fields to the areas of teaching or care giving. Just let us know what gifts you are willing to use, and we can find a place for you.
You will build friendships and connections to the work that you help support. You will take with you a new understanding of what our work here is all about. You will leave behind a lasting impression of Christ's love in action. Mission work changes lives - maybe the lives of the people in Kenya with whom we work or maybe yours!
There are facilities near our home that have nice accommodations for short term mission teams. We can also make arrangements for side trips to enable you to view a bit more of God's creation in Kenya.
So, please prayerfully consider whether God is calling you to short term mission work with us in Kenya.
